Implementation of the present is better than the expectation of the absent.

If we reflect on our past life experiences, we will realize that many times, we focus more on things that we do not currently have than the ones we have. In fact. many times, we got carried away by these absent anticipations that we do not realize how much we can do with our present resources, skills, and potentials. The truth is…if we do not work with the little we currently have, the probability of effectively implementing what we anticipate is very slim. It is always better to focus on our present moments as we strive and hope for the best to come. Living out every day with enthusiasm and joy as though we aren’t worried about tomorrow is very paramount. Another vital point to consider is, the experiences we gather each day, will be supplemental for subsequent tomorrows, no matter how little. Les Brown said it better “Do what you can, where you are, right now” (https://youtu.be/gMWXMMUg5pI 02:11 to 02:30). We don't need to worry about perfection at the moment — no one started being a professional anyways. Everyone gets better and better at what they do eventually through consecutive practices and experiences reflection.

Sailing alongside the Boat:

Have you ever gotten into an ocean boat and tried to move in its opposite direction while sailing in motion? Am guessing your answer is no! If a boat sails North-East and you try to move in its opposite (South-West or North-West) while in motion, you are most likely to fall into the ocean. As you live the moment and do not worry too much about tomorrow, difficulties are still expected to show themselves whether you invite them or not. Again, tomorrow is not guaranteed. Do not assume you do not have what it takes yet to overcome whatever comes your way. You might not get it all figured out yet, you might need to take your time, however, many one-pieces of brick will eventually make a wall. You just have to sail alongside your boat. Don’t try to escape from it no matter what’s going on in it; face it and overcome it.

Getting ready for Success:

The difficulties and struggles of today are but the best price we must pay for the accomplishments and victories of tomorrow — William Boetcker

Every pain is expected to yield gain. When you give your dreams your very best each day of your life, when you face those difficulties and struggles on your boat, know that you are paying the price for tomorrow’s success. No matter how many times you fail, do it again. As we journey through life, it will give us many opportunities to try again. We want to take all of it and make them count. The success line arises when you realize you are doing the best you can with what you have at the present moment. As you do that each day and get better, you will feel proud of yourself and experience self-satisfaction. Additionally, no matter how close the finish line might seem, no matter how far you think you might have come, do not stop developing yourself. You want to get to the finish line, triumphantly. Starting a race is not as important as completing it. Who you are today should be different from whom you were yesterday. “If you are not getting better, you are getting worse” — Brian Tracy

Today is a Privilege:

The mentality of tomorrow not guaranteed is to challenge ourselves to bring out the best in us, today. Of course, today was tomorrow, yesterday. The convincing and clarifying point is, not everyone is privileged to witness a new day; not everyone who went to bed last night wakes up, today. So, being alive is always an advantage, and living today is not a right, but a privilege. Now, we want to make good use of the privilege and make it count towards our anticipated success. In the same sense, we want to think of the big debt we all own, death. We all will be paying this debt one day and as a result, we want to make each day, the best because no one is promised tomorrow. Whatever idea that arouses, take a step towards achieving it. Whatever good you think of today, do it today to the best of your capability. I do this each night before sleep — you can try it too: I do ask myself, what if I do not wake up tomorrow? Am I missing out on anything today? I make sure can give convincing answers to these questions before sleep. Overall, if today is our last day on earth, how proud would we be with all we've done in this life? Every day is another opportunity to try again.
